Volunteering for the American Craft Beer Fest

May 18th, 2010

What has two thumbs and is volunteering for Saturday set-up and session 1 of the American Craft Beer Fest?

This guy right here!

This guy right here.

Add this to the fact that I just received my kegging system from Midwest Homebrewing Supplies yesterday AND that today is my four-year anniversary with the most amazingly patient woman on earth and you have one very happy man. I dare say that I am downright jubilant.

Last year’s ACBF was my very first beer fest and I am happy to have the opportunity to give back this year. It takes a ton of work to make these bad larrys happen and far more people benefit than contribute. I’m looking forward to mingling with fellow beer advocates, brewery staff, and beer lovers.

So if you were thinking of attending the ACBF in June, this is obviously the motivation you were so desperately waiting for to make the commitment. Come check out the shenanigans at the fest and bump into me! I’ll be the guy who loves beer; you won’t be able to miss me. Tell me how crappy you think my blog is and get a prize – bitter tears… bitter tears…

Seriously though, you should go to the fest. This is the biggest thing happening in the New England beer-scene and you want to be a part of it.

Tickets are on sale now here.

American Craft Beer Fest, June 2010

May 12th, 2010

It’s that magical time of year once again! The American Craft Beer Fest is returning to the Seaport World Trade Center Boston!

Das BOOOOOOOOOOT!

Join  Beer Advocate and Harpoon Brewery June 18 & 19 for the return of the east coast’s largest celebration of American craft beer at the Seaport World Trade Center Boston, featuring upwards of 80 American brewers and over 325 craft beers, and plenty of beer education!

I attended this festival last year and it was a blast! It was, oddly enough, my very first beer festival. I had an absolute blast. The house was packed with delicious brews for tasting, friendly staff, and great speakers. This simply is the biggest thing happening in beer on the east coast.

Details and ticket information can be found here!

Get you tickets as soon as you can – you won’t want to miss out.
